Citizen science as a transformation tool

This session will bring a discussion about the potential transformation of citizen science in marine sciences and its impact on society, in the sense of debating how to produce a science of the future, how to engage civil society in science and what are the advances and challenges in light of the Ocean Decade.
In addition, the session will feature presentations of citizen science application experiences along the coast, as well as presentations on the application of Ocean Literacy in education.
